Privacy policy

Last updated 31 July 2026

Solar Mantri shows you your own electricity data: what your JVVNL smart meter recorded, what your rooftop solar generated, and when the power was out. To do that it has to hold that data on your behalf. This page says exactly what it holds, why, and how to get rid of it.

The service is run by Khushal Saraswat, Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. Contact: khusa71@gmail.com.

What we collect

There is no analytics or tracking SDK in the web app. We do not collect your contacts, your location from your device, or anything about other apps.

Why we collect it

Only to show it back to you. Readings are fetched from JVVNL and Selec on a schedule (roughly every 6 hours) and when you press refresh, then rendered as the charts and figures you see when you sign in. We do not sell data, and we do not share it with advertisers, brokers or anyone else for their own purposes.

Who else sees it

How long we keep it

For as long as your account exists — the history is the product. When you delete your account, it goes with it, immediately and in full.

Your choices

Security, honestly stated

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and every table is protected by row-level security, so one account cannot read another's. Provider passwords are held encrypted rather than in plain text. That said, this is a small independent service, not a bank — do not reuse an important password for your Selec account.

Children

Solar Mantri is for the person who pays an electricity bill. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect.
